Popping your knuckles does not lead to arthritis!

New Evidence on what causes the pop sound when you pop your knuckles has changed the old hypothesis of the noise having to do with the collapse of air bubbles in the synovial fluid that lubricates the joints. The new evidence from the video below shows that its actually caused by the formation of a gas filled cavity when the bones in the joints stretch apart the bones in the joint separate, pressure in the synovial fluid gathers together, resulting in the sudden formation of bubbles the scientific term for that is tribonucleation. With that comes the pop sound.

Also a fun fact if you don't already know popping your knuckles does not lead to arthritis it's just a common misconception so go pop away!
