Did you know the oldest organism to live on dry land was Fungus?


The oldest known organism said to have been the first to live on dry land 440 million years ago was the fungus known as Tortotubus. This fungi played an important role in development of life outside the ocean. This is a huge discovery because it gives us the foundation of how life captivated land before any other organism such as land animals and plants.
